Yoga - Kids Yoga Classes

Monday Kids YOGA Class - Ages 6 - 10 yrs
Children will improve strength, flexibility, and coordination while taking this class. Children will learn how to focus and center themselves with various breathing and visualization techniques. They will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, lots of yoga games, breathing and basic anatomy.
*a yoga mat and comfy clothes are required for this class*

Tuesday Kids YOGA Class - Ages 11 - 14 yrs 
Help build strength and flexibility with more physically challenging postures and flowing sequences. Promote self-confidence, awareness and control. Visualization and breathing exercises are used for overall balance and concentration, which can be applied toward everyday situations. Age appropriate yoga games are included in every class. Class is 45 minutes.
*a yoga mat and comfy clothes are required for this class*

Instructor:  Jessica DeRosa, certified Children's Yoga Instructor

About the instructor- Jessica is a life long yoga practitioner and mother of two active boys.  She began her journey as a Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher with the goal of teaching children mindfulness, self awareness and increasing their ability focus.  Being certified through Yoga Ed. gives her the unique skills to teach social emotional learning and mindfulness through a fun and dynamic physical practice of breath and yoga.  She believes strongly in the importance of giving children the tools necessary to become resilient adults.
