Level I (7-8 yrs*) for emerging artists (7-8) or those who like art as a recreational activity (7+) with basic detail instruction (more Kawaii-style art). Reference guidelines will be offered to get the correct proportions and students should be able to remain seated for the entire session. If they complete the project early, they may add more details or free draw. *Students may enroll as young as 6.5 if they meet the prerequisites above.
Level II (9-12 yrs*) for more advanced techniques and corrections (9-12). Examples include previous color mixing knowledge as well as working with a ruler for more precise measurements and the ability to draw more proportionate shapes. Students should also know how to vary pressure (lightly) with a pencil and have the ability to take instruction. Students are expected to work on their project for the entire class. *Students may enroll as young as 8 if they meet the prerequisites above.
It's all About Perspective: Students will learn how to use perspective in their art. Positive peer reviews will be offered as time permits.
Color Theory Basics: Students will learn how to coordinate, mix, and tint colors in various color schemes. Positive peer reviews will be offered as time permits.
