Drawing from Still Life
This class begins with the fundamental concepts of value and texture, essential for creating depth and interest. Students will learn how to draw and shade basic shapes like spheres, cylinders, and cubes before progressing to more complex objects. Each week includes dedicated time for students to select a still-life subject to draw independently while receiving supportive guidance from the instructor.

Whether you are a beginner looking to develop your skills or an experienced artist wanting to refine your techniques, these classes suit all levels. Join us!

Notes: Required Materials Students MUST bring weekly to class
  • 9 x 12 or larger sketchpad
  • colored pencils
  • two or more charcoal pencils
  • drawing pencils and an eraser

General Information
  • Early Resident Savings –(ERS) Northampton Residents registering at least one week prior to the start date of the program will pay the Early Resident Savings Fee (ERS). The ERS fee is not listed below, but will appear during the checkout process. Mail in registrations must be postmarked at least one week prior to the start of the class in order to receive this savings.
