Functional fitness is the ability to perform ever day activities safely and independently without undue fatigue. Participants will improve body mechanics associated with walking, stair climbing, bending, lifting, reaching, sitting down or standing up from the floor or chair, and more. Improvements in strength, stability, mobility, flexibility, agility, and mindfulness can be expected as each task will be broken down into these components. This class will adapt to all registered participants regardless of health and physical capacity so that everyone can work towards their own functional fitness goals.
