Discover the meditative beauty of suminagashi, the ancient Japanese art of “floating ink.” In this 1.5-hour hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create mesmerizing marbled patterns on water using traditional ink and simple tools. Through gentle breath and movement, you’ll explore how ink interacts with the water’s surface to produce unique, one-of-a-kind prints.
No prior art experience is necessary—just a willingness to experiment and play. Each participant will leave with several finished marbled papers and a deeper appreciation for the calm, fluid nature of this centuries-old practice.
