News: Pathways of Remembrance Memorial Program
Northampton Township Parks & Recreation invites residents and community members to celebrate lives, memories, and meaningful moments through the Pathways of Remembrance Memorial Program. This program offers a thoughtful way to honor loved ones, commemorate special occasions, or recognize individuals who have made a lasting impact in our lives.
Set within the natural beauty of Northampton Township’s parks, these memorials help create spaces where visitors can pause, reflect, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Whether through a memorial bench, a living tree, or an engraved brick along a park walkway, each tribute becomes part of the landscape and story of our community.
These lasting gifts not only celebrate cherished memories but also help enhance and preserve the parks that bring our community together throughout the year.
Engraved Brick Donation
Northampton Township offers residents and community members a meaningful way to honor a loved one, celebrate a milestone, or recognize a special memory through the donation of an engraved memorial brick. These personalized pavers become a lasting part of the walkways within Northampton Township parks, creating a space where visitors can stroll, reflect, and appreciate the many stories represented throughout the community.
Memorial bricks are installed in designated park locations within the Municipal Park. Each brick is carefully engraved with a personalized message chosen by the donor, creating a permanent tribute that will be enjoyed by park visitors for years to come. Together, these engraved bricks help create pathways that symbolize connection, remembrance, and community, allowing families and friends to leave a lasting mark while supporting the beauty and continued care of Northampton Township’s parks.
Bench Donation
Northampton Township offers residents and community members the opportunity to honor a loved one or commemorate a meaningful life event through the donation of an engraved memorial bench. These benches are placed within one of Northampton Township’s beautiful parks, creating a peaceful place where visitors can pause, reflect, and enjoy the surrounding natural setting.
Memorial benches are typically installed in either Municipal Park or Civic Center Park, though other locations may be considered upon request. The final placement of each bench is thoughtfully determined through collaboration between the donor and the Township to ensure a meaningful and appropriate setting. Northampton Township guarantees that each donated bench will remain in its designated location and be maintained for a minimum of ten years following installation, allowing it to serve as a lasting tribute for family, friends, and the community to appreciate.
Tree Donation
Northampton Township offers residents and community members the opportunity to honor a loved one, celebrate a special milestone, or create a lasting tribute through the donation of a memorial tree. Planted within one of Northampton Township’s beautiful parks, these trees provide a living legacy that will grow and flourish for years to come while enhancing the natural beauty of our shared spaces.
Memorial trees are typically planted in the Municipal Park or Civic Center Park, though other park locations may be considered upon request. The specific placement and tree selection will be thoughtfully determined in collaboration between the donor and the Township to ensure the tree thrives in its environment and holds special meaning for those it honors. Each donated tree contributes to the vitality of our parks and serves as a place where family, friends, and visitors can gather, reflect, and enjoy the shade and beauty it provides for many seasons to come.
