This class integrates upper and lower body strengthening exercises with movement patterns that require balance and stability.  Participants can expect to improve total body strength, core stability, static and dynamic balance, flexibility, and overall functional fitness. A strong emphasis is placed on mindfulness, proper form, and breathing.  Please bring a set of handheld weights and a mat for floor exercises. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got ZUMBA – a fitness party! Why Zumba? Give your child the gift of language through fun and play! ¡Hola Amigos! is a once-a-month Spanish class designed just for kids ages 5–10. Each Saturday session brings a new theme to life with games, songs, and interactive activities that make learning natural and exciting. October: Meet & Greet in Spanish—introductions, numbers 1–10, and familiar words like elefante and chocolate. November: What’s on your plate? Explore foods, and practice sharing likes and dislikes. December: See the world in color! Learn colors and fun opposites like big/small and fast/slow. January: Weather & movement—dance, walk, eat, and more with simple Spanish verbs. By the end of the season, children will have built a strong foundation of useful words and phrases, while gaining confidence and curiosity for a new language.Classes meet at 11:00 AM on one Saturday each month (September–December).
